Moving On - 12/05/2005
The joke that is FF11 has been left behind by most BG members. We've moved on to WoW and are starting
to stake our claim on Azshara.Moving as a guild, mostly, has made me really happy. Our group has grown to being able to have nearly 40 dedicated raiders on every evening after less than a month. With people from other top FF guilds, random forum readers, and even some other realm high levels from WoW, who know nothing of FF11, we've got an incredibly promising group. I wish Nikkei, Cloude, and Litoriceboi would come. I used to wish Liltwin would but then he did, hell yeah. The people I miss not switching games is the only bad thing about WoW right now. Everything else has jus shot up, it even makes me a lot happier in rl to be playing a legendary game, it feels good to not be missing a generation anymore. FF11 has trained us to love WoW. Even though WoW is the most popular MMO since the days of EQ, standalone, having been exposed to the darker parts of FF11 has really helped me appreciate every aspect of WoW. From transportation to boss fights, everything has become better for me. I could make a new post about a new wonderful thing about WoW every day but I bet it would just annoy a lot of people. BG in WoW has 59 members now, with new people wanting to join every day. The highest people are low 50ish right now and the lowest are 30ish. We have enough class balance to do almost anything when we get higher, cept for a few hunters and priests. Leveling up, I've done every available instance except Deadmines (which I did on another server) and god, it's so fun and interesting. I haven't played much PvP except for a few WSGs and defending myself (edit: Mining PVP), but the limited amount I've done it has also been incredibly fun. Scripted boss battles like Mograine and Archaedas have me really excited for Strat Scholo UBRS DM and then MC ZG BWL and AQ. I seriously can't wait until we're all there, and the comfort of knowing that we'll get there with no worries of falling apart is great. Then, the comfort of knowing that we'll all get a lot of both entertainment and rewards out of it is what will send it soaring above how FF was. The future looks awesome. But it will never be complete without Litoriceboi, Cloude, Nikkei, |
